Students performing

Carroll County Middle School will present two plays and a talent show on Friday.

The night will begin with the Barbie play. The Director for Barbie wanted to create an episode that has six characters, but one of our Barbies, ā€œWeird Barbieā€ knows more than the others do. Stereotypical Barbie also knows more than the others, but she wonā€™t let Weird Barbie tell them.

Barbie will be followed by displays of amazing talents from our students and staff. There are 10 talents scheduled to perform, including acrobats, dance, singing, a guitar duo and solo, a mime act as well as comedy and a drum solo.

The night will end with the studentsā€™ favorite, Shrek. In the family favorite movie to play adaptation of Shrek, the students will perform a rendition. The Narrator will help to fill in the blanks as to what happens, while the actors play out the important parts of the movie. The students also added their own pieces to make the adaption more…. Short and to the point, as Farquaad would say.

The event begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children 17 and younger.
