Carroll County’s own Zayn Satchwell went to Florida on an invitation to play in a Senior Bowl and returned home with an MVP award.
Zayn was named Offensive MVP for Team Purpose in the Elevated Mission All American Senior Bowl.
“It was real fun,” he said with a smile. Zayn noted he was excited to meet college and NFL recruiters as well as players from all over the country. His team was coached by former Green Bay Packer Kenny Stills, who played for the professional team in the 1980’s. Zayn also benefited from running back coach Arlo Henderson.
“He taught me a lot about how to be patient. It’s not always about going full speed,” Zayn said.
In addition to the football practices and game, the players attended chapel services daily.
He and his family enjoyed some time on the beach as well as attending the football games. A lot of his Panther teammates and friends watched the game live.
“It was a lot of fun, but it’s good to be home,” he said.
