The high school track and field team competed in the Owen County Invitational this weekend and came away with nearly two dozen Top 10 finishes.
Overall, the girls’ team scored 50 points to take fourth place and the boys’ team scored 48 points to take fifth place. Ten teams competed in the invitational, powering through the cold and windy day.
The results were:
Girls 4x800 meter relay - Shelby Hillebrandt, Lydia Risk, Reagan Miller and Makayla Keithley, first place at 15:35.
Boys 4x800 meter relay - Aiden Lilley, Taylor Harsin, Alex Bolton and Asriel Aguazul Mendoza, fifth place at 10:29.90.
Girls 100 meter dash - Adree Dermon, 14th at 15.11 and Angel Harney, 36th at 18.95.
Boys 100 meter dash - Traiven Bays, 28th at 13.39, Cristian Roque, 39th at 14.02, and Jakobi Chapman-Meadows, 43rd at 14.39.
Boys 1600 meter run - Taylor Harsin, 14th at 5:42.95, Alex Bolton, 16th at 5:46.52, and Elias Cardoso-Ortiz, 31st at 6:49.38.
Girls 4x100 meter relay - Adree Dermon, Makayla Keithley, Shelby Hillebrandt and Lydia Risk, fifth at 1:04.89.
Boys 4x100 meter relay - Cristian Roque, Traiven Bays, Seth Franklin and Grayson Kinman, fifth at 50.44.
Girls 400 meter dash - Reagan Miller, third at 1:09.83 and Adree Dermon, 7th at 1:16.98.
Boys 400 meter dash - Teague Walls, 8th at 1:00.58.
Girls 300 meter hurdles - Makayla Keithley, second at 1:14.19.
