The Carroll County Middle School track team competed on its home field this week. Members of the high school track and field team helped man the events and give advice to the younger counterparts.

The CCMS and CCHS bands performed a spring concert in preparation for an upcoming competition. Each band was evaluated and worked on areas needed to improve their performance.
School will not be in session tomorrow, Friday, March 15. It is a teacher work day. We look forward to seeing our students on Monday, March 18.
Cartmell Elementary teacher Laura Pirtleās innovative strategies teaching iReady math to her second graders earned her recognition recently.
Each month, curriculum associates conducts a drawing across the state to select which teachers to recognize. Principal Brandi Wells and Instructional Coach Michele Long surprised her with the certificate, candy and a card recently.
The CCHS Student Council has embarked on a student-led project of sharing good thoughts and encouragement throughout their school. The group made colorful clothespins that can be clipped to backpacks and placed bracelets in the office to remind students they are stars.
CCMS students had fun with The Blob game during a recent assembly. The line dancing club also performed for their fellow students.
CCMS student Johnathan Pirtle was given a little time in the Cash Cube during a recent assembly as a reward for making it to the state academic meet. He didn't get any actual cash, just coupons for prizes.
CCMS teachers Carl Roberts and Denise Smith were recognized at the monthly student assembly for their nominations for the Golden Apple Award. The award is given by the Northern Kentucky Education Council.

The CCHS Young Leaders group recently visited the capitol in Frankfort. The group met with Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman and State Sen. Gex Williams during their visit.
Agriculture students harvested lettuce from the hydroponic greenhouse they operate at CCHS. It will be used on bacon cheeseburgers served tomorrow in the high school cafeteria.
