The Carroll County basketball program is seeking coaches for youth leagues that will be used to contribute to the rise of the Carroll County program. If you enjoy coaching and have a program-building mindset, please check this out.
A haircut clinic was held this morning at Cartmell Elementary School so students could get a fresh cut before school pictures next week. Tara McArter, owner of Tara's NuWave Barbershop, donated her time.
WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) Leaders at CCMS gave a seminar on rumors and gossip today. The group talked to fifth graders about the topic and played some games with them, including squeezing toothpaste out of a tube and trying to put it back in, telephone and airing dirty laundry. WEB plans to host a seminar monthly.
Cartmell Elementary inducted its second graders into their houses today. House members cheered and welcomed their new friends as they jumped on a trampoline then landed on a yellow dot that selected their house. (More photos are posted on the district's Facebook page.)
The CCHS homecoming parade was a big hit last night! Students enjoyed riding floats and the community showed its support by lining the parade route. Homecoming king and queen will be crowned at 7 p.m. Kickoff against Anderson County begins at 7:30 p.m. Support your Panthers!!
CCHS students are preparing for tomorrow's homecoming game! King and queen candidates practiced walking the field, the band worked on its routines and students decorated within the school. Crowning is at 7 p.m. and the game starts at 7:30 p.m. Come support your Panthers!
Kathryn Winn Primary held its back to school bash tonight. Face painting, snow cones, games, inflatables, fire trucks and even a visit with the Carroll County Panther entertained everyone! (More photos are available on the district's Facebook page.)

The CCHS golf team won the NCKC tournament today. Panther golfer Ayden Taylor was the medalist with the lowest score of all players. He shot a 75 for the day to take first place.
Branon Battaglia was named to the all-tournament team after securing a score of 78.
The Panthers competed against Walton Verona, Gallatin County, Owen County, Trimble County and Henry County in the tournament.
"These boys push each other to be better and the support they show for each other is awesome," said Head Coach John Battaglia. "The off-season work is showing up now with some low rounds. I couldn't be more proud of them."

Madison Consolidated High School honored the loss of CCHS Panther Bryce Stewart at the football game Friday. The Cubs wore stickers on their helmets commemorating Bryce and their students dressed in black and gold. Thank you to our Madison friends for this meaningful gesture.
Kathryn Winn Primary School held its annual Grandparents Day ceremony this morning. Grandparents were treated to introductions, pledge of allegiance and a poem by students then went to classrooms. (More photos will be posted in an album on the district's Facebook page.)
The Carroll County High School Site-Based Decision Making Council will meet tomorrow. Their meetings are open to the public.
