Seth Franklin represented the Carroll County High School track and field team well by taking fourth place in the high jump at the state meet last month. He jumped a personal best 6ā2ā to earn a spot on the podium.
He also finished 10th in long jump with 20ā1.75ā and 11th in triple jump with 39ā10.75ā
Seth has competed at the state meet in all three events this year and last year, competed in high jump as a sophomore and, as a junior, ran in then 4x100 relay.

Students from six different countries took a trip to Marengo Cave recently. They also enjoyed additional activities like gemstone mining and a giant maze.

A new team of eighth grade mentors will join the WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) Leaders when school starts in August. The eighth graders work specifically with fifth grade students who are new to CCMS and might need some help navigating middle school life.

The Senior Class of 2024 completed its final walkthrough of all schools on Tuesday. Students lined the halls to cheer for their accomplishments and many shared emotional moments with current and former teachers. (More photos on the District Facebook page.)

The Carroll County Board of Education recognized the District Ambassadors upon completion of the program's first year. "They learned a great deal about all the operations of the school district," Carroll County Schools Superintendent Casey Jaynes said. "The goal is for them to go out and share that knowledge with others." Pictured (from left) are: Superintendent Jaynes, Robb Adams, Linda Davis, Deidra Hays and Torie Hewitt. Each attended at least four of the six Ambassadors meetings. Also attending at least one meeting were Paula Rice, Mandy Parker and Tish Chadwell.

Carroll County High School has named Seth Franklin as valedictorian and Ayden Taylor as salutatorian. A number of academic awards were given at the annual Senior Honors Day yesterday. More photos and a list of awards will be posted this week.
Carroll County Area Technology Center students made the most of their rainy field day on Friday by using their workshops and hallways for a fun day!
Work is underway both inside and outside of Carroll County High School to get ready for graduation on Saturday.
