Four CCHS band students will perform at Northern Kentucky University this weekend as part of the Tri-State Band Symposium.
Geoffrey Hash was selected to perform in the upper symphony orchestra after auditioning for a spot with his baritone. Shelby Hillebrandt, Jace Romans and Alley Lefever were nominated by CCHS Band Director Austin Marshall to perform in the concert band.
The students will practice all day today and tomorrow to learn the pieces that will be performed Sunday afternoon. The finale concert will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14 in Greaves Concert Hall. It is free and open to the public.
In addition to this musical achievement, Hash and Hilary Sanchez Xool performed at the Kentucky Music Educators Association District V All-District concert recently. Hash was first chair euphonium while Xool played the tenor sax. Middle school student Lars Switzer also performed with his age group.
