Carroll County Schools has created a new website and app that will be the hub of information for parents, students, staff and community stakeholders.
The site, carroll.kyschools.us, features a district page as well as individual pages for each school. All of the information on these pages will be linked to the district’s Facebook page as well. Ultimately, it will also be connected to the district’s Twitter and Instagram pages.
The goal with this new launch is to provide a central location for everyone to get all information relevant to Carroll County Schools.
“Communication is key in our new information society,” said Superintendent Casey Jaynes. “We are wanting our school and community to engage more with us and our new website will allow for more ease of access for the user. Look for more information to be published on a daily and weekly basis.”
In addition, an app is available for download. Search Carroll County Schools, KY on the App Store or Google Play. The app allows users to see information about the entire district or narrow their focus by selecting a specific school. Literally with a few clicks of a button, all information can be disseminated by district officials to the website, email, text messages, app notifications, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, Director of Technology Zachary Morris-Dean added.
“In this digital age, it’s more important than ever to have an easy communication system that allows us to quickly distribute information to our families and the community,” said Morris-Dean. “Our new website package allows us to achieve this goal.”
