
Carroll County High School's art club will host its second annual art show on Thursday. The competition is open to students and members of the community. Join us Thursday at CCHS to enjoy their artistic creations.


The CCHS kitchen staff took first place in a recent cake making and decorating competition between the schools. The winners received a cheesecake and a $25 gift card for each staff member. Pictured are Terri Lawson, Tiffany Riggs, Jean Church, Sheila OāNeal and Chasity Heilman.




The Carroll County Conservation District recognized the winners of the 2023 Jim Claypool Art & Essay contest. The winners were honored at a banquet held March 27 at the Camp Kysoc Lodge.
The art winners from Carroll County Middle School were:
Kaius Terry - first place 5th grade and district winner
Kaezen Adams - second place 5th grade
Caroline Simmons - third place 5th grade
The essay contest winners from Carroll County Middle School were:
Evan Campbell - first place 7th grade
Bella Lozier - second place 7th grade
Johnathan Pirtle - third place 7th grade

Mrs. Catt, the librarian at Cartmell, conducted a random drawing to give away three signed copies of āThe Big Eclipse Dayāā a book recently published by her author/science teacher friend from Frisco, TX, Sherrie Klein (aka Sharky Science). The winners were Abigail Laib, Bradley Routon, and Liah Gutierrez (not pictured).

Tryouts and a parent meeting will be held at the CCHS gym soon for athletes interested in cheerleading. Students must be academic and attendance eligible as well as have a current physical. Any questions please contact Ashlea Beckham at Ashlea.beckham@carroll.kyschools.us.

Carroll County Middle School held a house assembly recently. Houses competed against one another to search for the Golden Snitch. (More photos on the district Facebook page.)

CCHS students had the opportunity to talk with representatives from the engineering and manufacturing fields at a recent Career Cluster Friday.








Carroll County Schools will host nationally renowned speaker Michael DeLeon on April 18. He will talk to younger children about safety among strangers and to the older students about the dangers of vaping. A parent academy will be held at 6 p.m. on April 18 to discuss youth vaping. Please join us!!


Today's softball game between the Lady Panthers and the Lady Madison Cubs has been cancelled.
