The CCHS student council is hosting a Winter Ball on Jan. 25. Tickets are $10 each and will be sold Jan. 20-24.
Friday's Lady Panthers basketball game against Sayre has been rescheduled due to a conflict in Sayre's schedule. It will now be played on Friday, Feb. 21 at Sayre.

Carroll County High School will begin offering digital tickets for athletic events beginning January 2025.
Fans will have the option to use Eventlink for digital ticketing at all CCHS athletic events. This only applies to the high school athletic events. Tickets will be available at the gate with a credit/debit card and cash will also be accepted at the gate.
"Using Eventlink digital ticketing at Carroll County High School is all about making things easier and more efficient for our community. It streamlines the process for fans, reduces the hassle at the gate, and keeps us aligned with modern trends in high school athletics," said CCHS Athletic Director Scott Anderson.
Admission prices were raised to $6 for adults and $3 for students to offset the costs associated with digital ticketing. Students will still get in free if they wear Carroll County School colors of black and yellow.
Tickets can be purchased through the Eventlink app or website.

Happy New Year from Carroll County Schools! May 2025 be a healthy and happy year for you and your families!
The boys' basketball games scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 2 at home against Walton-Verona and Saturday, Jan. 4 at Ludlow have been cancelled due to a large number of flu cases. The Walton-Verona game will not be rescheduled. The make-up date for the Ludlow game has not been set.
Geoffrey Hash was recognized this month by the Carroll County Board of Education for a litany of musical achievements. Most recently, he was named KMEA All-State symphonic band, which is the top group. He earned the third chair position. Geoffrey is the first Carroll County student to reach this achievement since 2007.
The nursing staff at CCMS and CCHS arranged to have staff from the Three Rivers Health Department come to the schools to administer vaccinations recently. This is one of the many services offered by our health services department to help increase compliance with required health documentation. Thanks to the ongoing efforts of the nursing staff at Carroll County Schools and the help of our health department, our immunization compliances increased to 96.4% at CCMS and 72.6% at CCHS. Carroll County Board of Education member Rob Spenneberg was recognized during his final board meeting for his contributions and dedication to Carroll County Schools during his tenure on the board.
Spenneberg began his service on the board of education in September 2012 when he was appointed to serve out the remainder of a prior member’s term. He was elected to the board and continued to serve through December 2024.
He has championed Carroll County Schools throughout his time on the board. He has worked with three superintendents and one interim superintendent. He was vice chairperson for three years and served as board chairperson for two years.
The accomplishments during his tenure are many. Too many to list, actually.
Some of the highlights include renovations or additions at the middle school, Head Start, Kathryn Winn and the high school. He was instrumental in technological improvements throughout the district, installation of a turf football/soccer field at the high school, JCTC Dual Credit agreements in 2013 which lead to the partnerships we have now, mental health initiatives for staff and students, training opportunities for staff members and supported the development of consistent curriculum throughout the district.
“Mr. Spenneberg’s contributions to Carroll County Schools are impactful and will be felt for many years in our student body and our staff members, said Carroll County Schools Superintendent Casey Jaynes. “Thank you Rob for your dedication and efforts to improve Carroll County Schools.”
CCHS students enjoyed hot chocolate and a movie sponsored by the student council before the winter break began.
Santa Claus even came to see students at the Carroll County Area Technology Center and Carroll County High School today.
