The CCHS cheerleading squad was recognized for its victory in the Americheer International competition in Florida. The team walked through the hallways to cheers from their classmates, sang the fight song with the help of other athletes and enjoyed cake at a reception. They placed 7th among 42 teams, achieving their highest score of the year. "These kids have worked really hard. This is a really hard sport," said sponsor Ashlea Beckham. She was also recognized with a lifetime achievement award. Congratulations to these student athletes!

Some members of the CCHS football team and boosters volunteered to help clean up areas damaged in Trimble County during last week’s tornado. This is a statement from the recipients of some of their work: “We had the pleasure of meeting several of your young men and volunteers on Saturday at our property. They showed up in full force to help those in need. To say that we were shocked is an understatement, the amount of work these young men and volunteers performed was outstanding. I wanted to post some pictures to your page and show my gratitude for the help they gave us and our neighbors. As I took these photos my eyes were blurry a few times with how much this meant to all of us in the area. I am sending all the pics I took, some were not the best so I will let you choose the ones to show. These young men will become the type of people we need in this world, willing to go above and beyond to help those in need. You now have several new fans to cheer on your team! Grateful Neighbor's of Highway 36 Jennifer & Brad” We are proud of the work done by our Panthers!
