The first Project-Based Learning unit at CCHS addresses being a hometown hero. ⭐CCHS students are challenged with designing a model of either a mini golf course ⛳or a playground 🛝. To help students gain an understanding of how real playgrounds and mini golf courses are designed, they visited the playground and mini golf courses at General Butler State Park 🌳and the new accessible playground at Camp Kysoc 🤝. Magistrate Scott Nab also talked to students about county government and ways students can be involved in the community. 🐾(📸 CCHS staff.)

Ms. Mann’s students at CCHS learned the “Stand Up, Hand Up, Pair Up” strategy to get to know one another and practice their written and spoken English. Mr. Martin's students used the same strategy to generate civic discussions. All students were engaged in the cooperative task where they practiced their communication skills and established a sense of belonging. (📸Credit: Mrs. Neff)

Panther families, don't forget to send your student's 🪪identification badge🪪 to school with them each day! They are needed for the school bus🚌, cafeteria 🍕and library📚.
If they need a new badge, it's as simple as going to the office and getting it printed ✨immediately✨. This Panther had her new badge in a matter of minutes.
🖤Your help and support in this venture is vital to its success!💛

Panther families, don't forget to send your student to school with their 🪪badge🪪 tomorrow!
Badging on and off the bus is a vital way to keep students safe. They also use the badges in the cafeteria and library. We are looking forward to a great year!
