Our freshman class recently visited the Cincinnati Museum Center to tour the exhibit Auschwitz: Not Long Ago. Not Far Away. This powerful and educational experience offered students a meaningful opportunity to connect what they’ve learned in the classroom to real-world history.
Throughout the exhibit, students explored artifacts, personal stories, and historical documents that shed light on the human experiences of those impacted by the Holocaust. The visit encouraged reflection on themes of prejudice, injustice, courage, and resilience. Helping students understand the importance of standing up against hatred and protecting human rights.
We are incredibly proud of our students for the maturity, respect, and thoughtfulness they showed during this visit. Their engagement demonstrated not only their academic growth but also their compassion and awareness of the world around them.
They got to talk with an airport police officer, a maintenance supervisor, and an aircraft maintenance instructor. Students saw the inside of a plane being repaired, an aircraft engine, and the specialized vehicles that keep the airport running smoothly! 👩🔧👨🔧💪
