Work-Based Learning student Mallory Noble is learning how the Carroll County Clerk’s office works. The office is responsible for recording legal documents such as mortgages and deeds, registering voters, managing motor vehicle licensing and issuing marriage licenses, to name a few of the duties. Mallory is a senior at Carroll County High School. The goal for all WBL students is to be considered college and/or career ready at graduation. Those students who are career ready receive a notation on their diploma and a cord to wear at graduation.

CCHS soccer players have taken on the task of designing an area that could be used by their teammates during matches. They are measuring a 24x20 foot extension to the shelter house just inside of Panther Field. The extension would be built on 4x6 skids rather than pouring another concrete foundation. The students are continuing to consult with professionals about the process to build on that ground. The space could be used for half-time discussions, equipment storage and possibly include stalls for players to use to change into their uniforms.
This project team includes Andres (Danny) Roque, Alexis Molina, Joshua Barrera Diaz, Cristian Jimenez Torres, Juan Corrales, Georgina "Gina" Berruecos Castillo, and Yerson Aguilar. The goal for all PBL/WBL students is to be considered college and/or career ready at graduation. Those students who are career ready receive a notation on their diploma and a cord to wear at graduation.
