A small but spirited crowd gathered last night for the annual CCHS homecoming parade in Carrollton. Teams and some of the king and queen candidates waved to onlookers as they made their way from the middle school to the high school. 🖤💛The CCHS Band of Gold was on hand to play some of the tunes they'll perform during tonight's game.🎶

Don't miss the homecoming game! The king and queen will be crowned at 7 p.m., and the game starts at 7:30 p.m. 🏈We hope to see you there! 👑🎉

The new chapter of Jobs for American Graduates (JAG) inducted its officers and new members last week.
“JAG is an elective that is being introduced to CCHS for the first time. We are equipping students with the academic support, employability skills, and personal development needed to thrive in high school and beyond, whether they pursue post-secondary education, enter the workforce, or join the military,” said CCHS teacher and JAG Specialist Jaelyn Robinson.
The organization’s first President, Trinton Garrett, spoke during the ceremony, which included the Pledge of Allegiance, Presentation of Career Association Goals, and Closing Reflections. The other officers inducted include Vice President for Career Development Johnny Gibson, Vice President for Community Service Jace Romans, Vice President for Civic Awareness Logan Howard, Vice President for Social Activities Makenzie Gallagher, Vice President for Leadership Development Savannah Mullins, Secretary Madelynn Breeden, Historian Shianne Murray, and Coordinator of Public Relations/Marketing Adra Erina Hanani.
Donald Kauffman, a local banker at FNB Kentucky and president of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, spoke a few words to our students reciting the creed and how it will reflect on them in their future decisions.
Each officer lit a ceremonial candle in honor of their induction and every member of JAG received a certificate. After the ceremony, they enjoyed a short reception.

Project-Based Learning students participated in a showcase/exhibition of learning this month. Students spoke informally with staff members and community leaders about their projects. Each student built a scale model of a playground or a mini golf course and wrote a letter to community officials or to a potential mentor about their plans. 🌟 Our Junior Young Leaders (plus Shelby!) spent an amazing morning at the Jones Brothers Farm! 🐄🌾

They didn’t just see the farm in action — they learned about the business side of agriculture, explored current farming practices, discovered new technologies used on the farm, and gained insight into farm-to-fork marketing. They also enjoyed hearing the rich history of the Jones Brothers Farm, connecting the past to the future of agriculture.

What an incredible experience in leadership, learning, and growth! 💡👏
