Thank you to our SRO team for another successful and safe year at Carroll County Schools.
They work hard every day to ensure all students and staff are safe. We are fortunate to have such a caring group in our school buildings who build strong relationships with our students and parents.
Our SRO team includes Darrell Tomlinson and Laman Stark at Cartmell; Don Mulhall at Kathryn Winn; Tim Gividen at Carroll County Middle School and David Mutchler at Carroll County High School.

The funds will be used to purchase new playground equipment. Students were treated to games in the gym, doughnuts, a dance party and sidewalk chalk drawing.

Cartmell Elementary School held its spring musical yesterday. The students performed for their classmates during the day and the community that evening. A rendition of Disney songs and a dance party rounded out the event.

Student authors revealed their Tall Tales books at Cartmell Elementary School this week.
Fourth graders taught by Mrs. Young, Mrs. Rose, Mrs. Tuttle and Mrs. Butcher wrote stories using exaggeration and hyperbole. Each student read their Tall Tale to a small group of parents and classmates.
“They have become really awesome writers,” Young said of the children. She recognized Priscila Malo Beach for creating the cover that was used by her classroom. Ironically, Priscila’s sibling made the cover for a previous book written by Young’s class.

Cartmell Elementary’s Walk-A-Thon fundraiser generated $10,508.06 to be put toward new playground equipment.
Benson Hill walked the most steps and will serve as assistant principal for the day. Each student was given a pedometer from the Three Rivers Health District.
Miri Hawkins raised the most money and will serve as principal for the day.
The Blue House raised $3,965.96, the most of all houses, and will receive a special field day.
